Forgot Close Cages, Officer Zoo lion predation

Forgot could lead to the death. Such was the experience of a zoo keeper Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which is dying due to forget to shut the lions' cage in her care.
"Lions in the Addis Ababa zoo has attacked and killed a zookeeper after he forgot to close the cage door when a sleeping lion," said the official
Lion named Kenenisa, such as the name of a famous Ethiopian runner, killed Abera Silsay 51 year old when she was cleaning the cage.
"He came home to number 10 where Kenenisa stay and she forgot to close the inner door (bedroom lion). Finally, the lion came and attacked him," said Musie Kiflom, director of the zoo.
Kenenisa Abera bite in the neck, continued Musie, other guards had tried to frighten him with a bullet in the air and banging on the roof of the cage. But to no avail, so Abera died.
The incidence of attacks on zoo keeper by lions, is the second time in the last 17 years.
Musie said the zoo will provide training for the guards lions after the attack.
"We have to update their knowledge about how to protect the animals, working with animals, maintaining and cleaning them," said Musie talking to the cage where the attack occurred.
Kenenisa condition at this time was not hurt and remained at the zoo, which was closed after the incident. While there is no information on the condition of Abera who died eaten Kenenisa.
Addis Ababa zoo is home to 15 endangered Abyssinian lions. Lion kind was found in Ethiopia, and famous for their black manes tengkuk-- --bulu.
The lions were scheduled to be moved to a bigger place in a few months.
Addis Ababa zoo was opened in 1948 by Emperor Haile Selassie, to home to lions, Molla and Lullu.
